Week six.

This past week was a little easier with my training. With week five being a lot of hours and miles this low key week was much needed and I had lots of naps and recovery. I was so jazzed about finding the Ironman bike course that I so wanted to bike most of it. My body said no and said yes to rest.
Today I was required to do a 5k or 10k race. I have a six mile route in my neighborhood that I use and with the help of a friend that is staying at our house I ran it in 50:45! It is a very hilly six miles. My last 10k I ran was back in December at the Arlington Toys for Tots run. It is more flat with some minor hills. I ran that at 50:00. I feel very good with my progress with speed and strength.
I get to do a three hour bike ride this weekend. Hmmmm. Where shall I go?
