Let the blogging begin, again.

My running/triathlon coach wants me to start writing on my blog again. It's not that easy for me to just sit down and write, but here you go.
My next goal is to qualify for Boston. I have picked the Yakima River Canyon Marathon as my next marathon for my attempt. This time it is different.
One, I have a coach and she has a plan.
Two, I have decided to change something in my nutrition. My CrossFit coach has set forth a challenge at CrossFit All In and its athletes, those that want to participate anyway. He had us do a WOD last Saturday and in six weeks repeat that WOD. It consisted of As Many Reps As Possible(AMRAP) in 15 minutes of:
12 Sit-ups
12 Kettle bell swings with weight of choice(I chose 35 pounds)
12 Bar facing burpees
=7 reps + 10 burpees
=286 points.

On point per rep. In six weeks the person with the highest number of increased points wins. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Of course Jay did not tell anyone the details of the challenge till the last athlete finished so everyone gave their 110%. Jay also did the WOD to see how he has improved in six weeks. This is a challenge of fitness. How you eat, sleep and workout comes into play.
I eat Paleo pretty well so I could not change that to get fitter. Or could I?
Jay is pretty healthy so when he said that he was going to cut out alcohol for the challenge time I thought that yes, that is the only thing stopping me from getting fitter, except for my training.
I have decided to cut out all alcohol till my marathon as well. This is going to be hardest the first couple of weeks I'm thinking. I come from a family of alcoholics and addicts, but I have been through a lot and I know I can do this. I do drink too much. When my husband says, "I can't believe you can drink then go and run 18 miles the next day", then I know I drink too much.
Any kind of support anyone has will be much appreciated. I can only get better. I will do this for me and my goals of achieving Boston, Las Vegas 70.3 Championship and my ultimate dream, Kona.
