
First week of my training almost done. So far so good. Thought it was a good idea to take Sunday off.
Monday: Swim-Test
Had to do 3x300 yards for a test. Get to do it again in a couple weeks. Kinda excited to see my progress. I hope there will be a sign of progress!
Made it through the sets this time without quitting and crying. Yes, I can do this.
Total laps=52(1300 yards)
Tuesday: Run am
35 min run at 9:00 pace
Total=4.13 miles
First time this year running in the morning before sunup. My cul-de-sac is so dark. Quit last fall when the leaves falling sounded like animals walking in the woods. Thank goodness for that treadmill.
Three times around the cul-de-sac is a miles. Way to dark to go any farther yet. It was so cool to watch the sky get brighter as I ran though.
Bike pm
Did not happen. I took my bike to work with me and was going to ride the trail before going home. Nuts! Forgot my helmet! I got distracted by my husband when I got home and couldn't ride. Did 4x(50sit-ups, 10pull-ups)
Wednesday: Bike
Was supposed to be my day off.
Biked around my community after work. I need a new helmet. I look like Jerry Lewis!
With WU and CD=12.68 miles at 1:02:12.
Very cold toes!
Thursday: Run
Centennial Trail
Good run. 9:00 pace, with WU and CD=6.69 miles
Went to Snohomish Bicycle and bought a new helmet from Martin! Much better and its pretty.
Friday: Swim/bike
Swam drills for an hour then went to Cent trail to bike. 36 degrees is just way to cold with the wind chill you get from the bike. Went out and back=1.45 miles. Took till I got home 15 min later for my fingers and toes to thaw.
Rode trainer for 1:45 hours. I watched latest Biggest Loser. They are in New Zealand! Beautiful!! I so need to go there!
I was planned to do 2:30 on the bike but was cut short. Husbands!!!! And this is only the first week!
Saturday: Run/swim
I was planned to swim on Sunday but the pool is not open for lap swim till 12:30 and only for an hour. Open at 7:30-12:30 on Saturdays.
Ran in Lake Stevens around the lake. North Cove to Target and back.
9:10 pace at 8.73 miles and .75 CD run/walk.
The Lake Stevens Rowing Club put on the NW Collegiate Rowing Champs in the Spring. They were setting up when I was there. I miss rowing. Check out www.lakestevensrowing.com and give it a try. They have a try rowing day ever so often.
Swim was working on drills. 54 laps=1350 yards. The swim team was practicing starting at 8am and only one lane was available. I did my first circle lap swim with two other guys and it worked out fine. I was afraid of being too slow but they seemed to know what to do and passed me when needed. And I used my fins.
By the end of my sets, I was all tuckered out! and hungry!!
First time this week for really feeling this tired due to work-outs. Means I have been working hard and need a nap. Just 20 minutes will due.
Can already feel the need to eat more as I step up the swimbikerun. Boy, I love food but I eat good real food. www.paleo.com
